How to troubleshoot browser problems to use ScriptMe properly
Before diving into complex troubleshooting, consider a straightforward fix: clearing your browser’s cache. This action can often refresh your browser and resolve common issues. Below, we’ve outlined the steps to guide you through this process.
Before cleaning your browser cache, we recommend to log out of your ScriptMe account.
To log out of your ScriptMe account, follow these steps:
- Locate the three lines in the upper right corner.
- Select “Log out” from the dropdown menu.
To clear the cache in the Chrome browser, follow these steps:
- Go to top menu in Chrome and pick Chrome from menu.
- Now go down to Clear Browsing Data…
A page will open.
- Choose the box Cached images and files and press Clear Data.

Quite the browser and reopen it to ensure the changes take effect.

How to obtain and save a log from the Chrome browser
You need to access developer tools in Chrome to be able to export a log.
Accessing the Developer Tools in Chrome is straightforward. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Menu Method:
– Open Chrome.
– Click on the three vertical dots (often referred to as the “hamburger menu”) in the upper right corner of the Chrome window.
– Hover over “More tools.”
– Select “Developer tools” from the dropdown menu.
2. Keyboard Shortcuts:
– For Windows/Linux: Press `Ctrl + Shift + I`.
– For macOS: Press `Cmd + Option + I`.
3. Right-Click Method:
– Right-click on any webpage element you’d like to inspect.
– Select “Inspect” or “Inspect Element” from the context menu. This will directly open the Developer Tools and highlight the element you clicked on.
4. URL Bar:
– Type `chrome://inspect/` in the Chrome address bar and press Enter. This will open a page where you can choose various developer tool options.
