How to export a VTT file from subtitles editor

Learn how you can quickly export your subtitles in the VTT format in 4 simple steps using ScriptMe

Short for “Web Video Text Tracks”, the .VTT format is a newer caption format based largely on .SRT and the two share many similarities.

Whereas .SRT only provides basic formatting such as bold, italics, and underline, .VTT supports much richer formatting, such as color, font, positioning, and even rendering options. .VTT also supports metadata to be included in the content and has become the preferred subtitles format to be used alongside HTML5.

This means .VTT gives you more control over the functionality and appearance of your subtitles.
